Happy Tuesday, Huskies! We hope everyone is hanging in there as midterm season is, unfortunately, on the horizon.

Luckily, today’s weather will make for a cozy studying session. Clouds are expected all afternoon with a slight chance of rain this evening, and we should see a high of around 45 degrees.Tomorrow should be similar to today’s conditions, but drier and with a slightly higher chance of sunbreaks. Although the high will reach a couple degrees warmer than today, the nighttime low will be a bit chillier, dipping just below 40 degrees. Thursday will also be cloudy but just a couple of degrees cooler, in case that makes a difference to you. To add a little spice to the week, a new storm system will roll into our region Thursday night into Friday. On Friday, we will likely see showers throughout the morning and early afternoon, as well as a high in the mid 40s. A little sun is also likely to make an appearance later that day to cut that rainy end-of-the-week tension 🙂

As of right now, Saturday is expected to be cloudy and chilly, with a chance of rain in the afternoon. The high should be around 43 degrees, but bear in mind if the current models shift cold or precipitation shifts to occur towards the nighttime hours, there could be a chance of snow. Make sure to keep up to date on our daily blogs as this situation develops and we near closer to the weekend.

Temperatures will also take a plummet Saturday night, with a low just above 30. Sunday and Monday should be a continuation of this trend as well with highs not even reaching 40 degrees.

While it is a little far out to say for sure, stable atmospheric conditions are likely  to makeup for this week’s gloomy clouds on Sunday and through the beginning of next week. One silver lining to the bleak at best January weather we have been experiencing the past few weeks is the gradual increase in daylight. By Valentine’s day, the sunset time will be over a half an hour later than today. By this time in March, sunset won’t occur until almost 7:30 pm!Good luck with exams this week and remember to take your vitamin D and get some sleep!
