Good morning, Huskies! Happy Sunday!
I hope you all have been enjoying the spring-like weather, because its days are numbered. A more specific number is 1, as rain returns to the region tonight. Don’t worry, it will still be dry for most of the day today, though it will be mostly cloudy. Expect highs in the upper 50s to low 60s, slightly above average for this time of year, with overnight lows in the mid 40s, also pretty average.
The edges of the front can already be seen on the radar, but the rain looks to stay offshore until the afternoon. Those in the southwestern coast will see rain first as the system moves northeast.
Rain will arrive in Seattle overnight, and continue into Monday morning. A convergence zone will likely develop Monday evening following the front, bringing heavier showers to areas along King-Snohomish county line. This system will bring snow to areas above about 4000 ft tonight, dropping down to 3500 ft Monday and 2200 ft Tuesday Any lingering showers will taper off by Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday are looking dry with a mix of clouds and sun. However, temperatures will be a bit cooler than the current dry stretch, with highs in the mid 50s. It won’t be dry for long, with more rain expected Thursday and Friday
Don’t let the rainy weather get you down, there’s still plenty of spring break fun to be had indoors. Rain is a great excuse to spend a lazy day binge watching a show or scrolling through social media. Have a great spring break, Huskies!
