Happy Sunday huskies!
Today I am blogging from a ferry in British Columbia, so I don’t have access to our main graphics system. Sorry about that! A weak upper trough will move through the region this afternoon and evening, creating some upward motion that will lead to scattered showers. After that, we have some nice weather to start off spring quarter. Monday looks to be a mix of clouds and sun, with temperatures in the high 40s to low 50s. Tuesday will be even warmer and sunnier with temperatures reaching the high 50s. Fair weather is expected to last until at least Thursday morning. By Friday, another system will enter the region bringing overcast skies and rain.
This week’s main weather event for the west coast will be the strong low-pressure system advancing toward California. Fortunately, it missed us but be sure to let friends and family in the Golden State know that they need to be prepared for more heavy precipitation and severe weather.
Have a great spring quarter!
