Good evening!
We’ve seen plenty of sun out there today between the showers, but temperatures are quite chilly, right around 50 degrees for our high, which is nearly 10 degrees below normal. Overnight lows will be in the upper 30s to around 40 degrees.
A brief break in the showers is likely early Thursday morning, but an approaching storm system will keep things rainy and chilly for the afternoon. Temperatures will only top out in the upper 40s near 50 degrees.
Don’t forget to grab a rain jacket if you’re headed to campus early, though! Rain will begin around noon and persist until the evening. Around a quarter inch of rain will fall in a six hour period.
Temperatures will rebound to the low 50s on Friday with a mainly dry day. Light rain chances return for the weekend, though, with temperatures remaining below normal. Conditions for Saturday’s spring football game should be cool with passing showers.
Looking at the extended forecast, there are signs of a warm up for the final week of April. Weather models are hinting at temperatures in the mid- to upper 60s by next Thursday! Stay tuned as we get closer and wish for some warmth!
