Say Goodbye to the 70s

Happy Thursday Huskies! 💜💛

Yesterday we saw a record High at SeaTac Airport of 71℉ with, once again, a return of the warm weather. Today’s high is going to be about 70 degrees, which is cooler than yesterday, but still quite warm for this time of year. Tonight’s low will be in the mid 50s, with a slight chance of showers starting this evening and continuing overnight.

We can owe this high weather to a ridge that built up over the west coast over the past couple of days, bringing unseasonably warm temperatures and clear skies to the area. Looking ahead at the next couple of days though the ridge will be moving on to the east ending our spat of clear skies and summery afternoons.

Unfortunately, these unseasonably warm temperatures are probably one of the last times, if not the last time we’ll see highs in the 70s in 2023. Starting this weekend, typical October weather returns. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-to-upper 50s for the weekend. Friday and Saturday are looking pretty dry, with a chance of showers Sunday morning.
