Hey Huskies, happy Monday! We hope you are getting through midterm season and enjoying the fall festivities. After our record-breaking high temps last week, we will cool down making for a chilly last full week of October.

Despite only being in the mid-50s, today will be our warmest day of the week before temperatures begin to plummet. For this afternoon, expect mostly cloudy conditions with a chance for light drizzle into the evening. Tonight our low temps will drop down into the mid-40s before rain moves in on Tuesday.

By early afternoon Tuesday, a system will move into our region bringing wet conditions into the lowlands and fresh snow into the mountain passes. The rain will stick around throughout the day and into Wednesday morning before tapering off by Wednesday afternoon.

A low pressure system will bring in northerly flow, resulting in below normal temperatures for the Pacific Northwest. The chilly temperatures will persist throughout the rest of the week bringing highs that will struggle to hit the 50s. We expect to see our first overnight lows drop down to the 30s by the end of the week. It might be time to bring out those puffer jackets for the commute to class!

For the rest of the week, we should see mostly cloudy skies on Thursday with highs continuing to linger around the upper 40s. Friday will be cool with sunbreaks giving us something to look forward to as we head into the weekend.

Have a great week and stay warm, Huskies!
