Hey Huskies!💛💜 Hope you all have had a good week, and are getting through the end of the quarter in one piece. This week’s weather thus far has been foggy and cold, with high and low temperatures being pretty below average, with November 27th and 28th’s overnight lows being over 10 degrees below average!🥶 This chilly weather has left commutes to class not very pleasant, but thankfully these next couple days the fog will be leaving as the rain clouds take its place. Say goodbye to clear skies! The beginning of December is bringing some rainy days our way. 🌧️❄️

Along with the return of the Seattle Rain we are also going to be experiencing an increase in temperatures as we reach into the mid to upper 50’s by the end of the weekend. Snow levels in the mountains are also going to rise, from roughly 1500 feet today to up to 6000 feet on Sunday. The rise in snow levels could bring with it an increase in river flooding so watch out for washed out roads if you are heading to eastern Washington for the weekend or looking to hike in the Olympics. If you are planning to stay closer to home though be careful of urban flooding if you live in a vulnerable location. 🏔️☃️

Expect that by the end of the weekend we will pick up upwards of an inch of rain with potentially two inches of rain in store for some spots of the Seattle metro. Going into next week that total will likely rise as successive storms move through the Puget Sound. 🌧️

The first part of dead week will bring more of the same, but a little bit warmer. A “pineapple express” may bring warm, moist air from the tropics into western Washington. Timing and impacts are still in flux, but we could see high temperatures in the upper 50s and an inch or so of rain. ⛆☂️
