Happy Friday and first day of March, Huskies!
We hope you have been staying warm and dry during this cold, windy, and rainy day! Today is the first day of meteorological spring, but Seattle is keeping things chilly as our high today is 42 degrees, while we are usually sitting around 52 degrees at this time of year. Our low sinks down to 36 degrees, compared to our usual 38 degrees.
We will warm up a slightly this weekend but we will keep seeing showers throughout. Some sunbreaks may be seen on Sunday, but it’ll be a good idea to keep a rain jacket or umbrella nearby! On Saturday, we can expect up to 0.07 inches of rain and 0.05 inches on Sunday!
With this wet spell staying in Seattle for a few days, there is a chance to see lightening and hear thunder! Keep your eye open tomorrow for a chance of t-storms throughout tomorrow!!
As we are nearing the end of winter quarter, so may the skiing season, as this winter we have had a lower than average snowfall in the Cascades. If you aren’t prepping for dead week and have time to ski this weekend, the Cascades will see up to 6 inches of snow (snow level at 500 ft) , while also experiencing showers throughout the weekend.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and are ready for the last week of the quarter!!
