Scattered Weather Weekend

Happy Friday, Huskies, and congrats on officially making it over halfway through Spring Quarter! Hopefully the cooler temperatures and lack of significant sunlight these last few days hasn’t been too upsetting, because this trend looks as though it will continue through the weekend. Although we saw temperatures reaching the low-60s today and a sprinkle of afternoon sun, temperatures will drop and clouds will move back in as another storm system approaches the area late tonight into tomorrow.
Saturday’s high temperature is expected to be around 51 degrees in the U-district area, which is about 10 degrees cooler than normal – so make sure to layer up! Scattered showers should persist throughout tomorrow as well, especially midday and in the later evening, so water-proof layers might be the way to go. A wind-proof shell might also be nice to have as we can expect moderate winds up to about 15 mph sustained, and greater gusts up to 26 mph, during the day on Saturday and Sunday.
Temperatures on Sunday and Monday will also stay fairly consistent with tomorrow’s conditions: lows in the mid-40s at night and high temperatures sticking to the low-50s. As the low-pressure system offshore continues to move in, more scattered showers and cloudy conditions will linger around the area the next few days. However, some pleasant sun breaks are possible, especially later Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. While we are waiting for more spring weather to come, this is another nice weekend for studying if you have any remaining midterms! Luckily, we will likely see a shift towards drier conditions starting Tuesday with some sunbreaks occurring around Tuesday evening.
Have a great weekend, Huskies!
