Happy Friday, Huskies!
As you can see from our webcam, there’s not a cloud in the sky! (Though there is a bird enjoying the spring weather) Even with the blurry camera quality, you can see the mountain in full view since the visibility is also very clear.
The beautiful springtime conditions will continue today, and it will get quite warm. We have a pretty good chance of breaking 80 degrees for the first time this year! The last time we hit that milestone at SeaTac was about 8 months ago (238 days to be exact) on September 15th, 2023. The record high for today (87 degrees) will most likely go unchallenged, though. With the clear skies, temperatures will drop overnight, with last night’s low near 50 degrees.
Speaking of tonight, the severe geomagnetic storm may make the aurora visible in areas around Seattle, and the warm temperatures will make it perfect conditions to view the northern lights!
Temperatures tomorrow will be just slightly cooler than today, but we still have a decent shot of reaching above 80, so make sure to stay hydrated Huskies!
The sunshine will continue all through the weekend, although we will cool down a bit on Sunday as the temperatures aren’t expected to make it above the mid-70s.
Monday will be the chilliest day in the near future, with a high around 62 degrees and a chance of scattered showers – so don’t put your rain jacket away just yet!
After Monday, temperatures will be back up with highs in the low-70s and partly-cloudy conditions for most of the week.
Enjoy the gorgeous weekend, Huskies, and don’t forget your SPF!
