Turbulent Weather Returns With Clouds and Rain

By Joseph Renalds and Alec Weise

Good afternoon Huskies! After a stretch of summery conditions with bountiful amounts of Vitamin D and high temperatures in the mid-seventies, the tides have turned. Today is an optimal day for preparing for any finals as the dreariness throughout all corners of campus and cool temps will make for perfect study weather.

We will see some breezy conditions this afternoon and evening with gusts being around 20 to 25 mph so make sure to be prepared if you are outside and keep devices charged just in case.

Unsettled weather will dominate the area for the remainder of the week as a series of disturbances cloud us up and keep chances of rain in the forecast. If you are heading to the Street Fair on The Ave this weekend, the rainiest time look to be during the afternoon hours on Saturday with Sunday being mainly rain free. Clouds will still be around though which will keep the temperatures near average.

For Seattle, May is a notable transition month as the average high of 63 degrees to start the month becomes nearly 70 degrees by the end of it. The average high today is 67 degrees, but we will be slightly below this for the next few days and then right around average to start Week 9.Β

Have a great rest of your week Huskies!
