There goes the sun ☀️😓

Welcome to the first full week of school, Huskies! It’s shaping up to be a sunny one out there, but with the autumnal equinox only a week behind us, the sun is still rapidly weakening – we’ll have a hard time getting highs much past the mid-60s from here on out. At the time of this post temperatures, we’re hovering around 60 for most of the region.

This weeks outlook is looking pretty Ho-hum with no significant weather expected. Lows will feel fallish, dropping into the mid forties at night. Fifty degrees is the average low for Seattle this time of year so we will even be slightly below that. Temperatures though will rebound nicely during the day into the mid sixties which is seasonal for this time of year. Decaying fronts will yield some clouds at times but any precipitation is expected north of the area.

Now that we’re going deeper into fall, sunset is getting earlier and earlier. Over the course of the next two weeks sunset will be before 6:30. For those of you who have to travel in the evening, stay safe out there on those dark bus rides. For those of you who prefer the longer days, winter solstice is just around the corner, if the corner was about 12 weeks from now!

So enjoy the sun while you can, Huskies, and allow it to power you through the quarter 🌞🌞🌞
