Happy Tuesdays Huskies! Are you ready to whip out your candy and costumes for this haunting Halloweekend?
All the excitement from the rain over the weekend has come to an end! Today is a return to mostly clear skies with a high of 56, which is below average. We finally get to see the sun! Expect temperatures around this throughout the week. The wind is 5 mph. Today is, at least weather wise, a basic fall day.
As we slowly crawl into the holiday season with Halloween as the forerunner, you may have noticed temperatures starting to get slightly colder. Some areas in the Midwestern region of Washington, hooking around the Puget sound could experience dips into the 30s tonight and for the next couple nights. This freeze watch includes areas just east of Seattle and lasts until Thursday evening. Freezing temperatures such as these could be detrimental to any vegetation or crops in the highlighted areas, so take necessary caution.
It looks like we can all leave our rain jackets and umbrellas at home for the rest of the school week as things will stay dry. The upper air pattern for the rest of the week has a weak trough moving over western Washington tomorrow, but probabilities of precipitation will be low. After the trough moves through, we return to zonal flow, which is neither a ridge or trough. Thursday’s upper air pattern map shows tomorrow’s trough over the Rockies and zonal flow here in the PNW. Rain is forecasted to return this weekend with potential for some strong winds, but there’s still a lot of uncertainty. We’ll be sure to keep you updated.
At least the weather won’t be a thing you have to worry about as midterm season is in full swing.
