We hope you had a studious weekend and found a way to stay dry! It was a mighty wet one for the majority of Western Washington, with many locations receiving over an inch of rainfall, with some locations in the mountains receiving 2-3 inches or more. The heavy rainfall was also a primary implicated party in a 40+ car pileup on I5 yesterday – stay safe on the roads, Huskies!
As showers continue throughout the day today, there is a small chance of seeing a few lightning flashes, though the chances are most likely around the coastal areas and in the foothills. Most showers are staying away from Seattle as of now, but some showers could pass by the campus later this afternoon and into the evening, but shower chances will dimish overnight and into tomorrow. The Storm Prediction Center also has a risk of thunderstorms for Western Washington on Wednesday.
Seasonably cool Fall Temps will stick with us for the remainder of the week. The remainder of today will be dry as a weak ridge builds into the area. This will be a short reprieve from the wet weather as Wednesday, a cold front will swing into the area. We’ll likely see these wet conditions persist into the later half of the week.
Let’s get this party gander-ing!
