Dry Week (πŸš«πŸ’§)

Happy Victory Monday Huskies! This past weekend was a wet and windy one, but that didn’t stop our football team from outlasting USC! Inclement weather fans I have bad news, the wind will be dying out tonight. We also will be staying dry through the rest of the week, including tomorrow, Election Day. For those who still need to drop off their ballot, you shouldn’t have to worry about your ballot getting wet. When the week comes to a close expect these dry conditions to end.

Thanks to upper-level ridging setting up tonight into tomorrow, we should enjoy a rare dry early-November week. After showers finish passing through the region this afternoon and evening, there isn’t much in the way of precipitation for the I-5 corridor through Friday evening. The exception is the northern Olympic coast and along the Strait of Juan de Fuca, which could see 0.5″ inches of rain or more.

Yesterday was the end of Daylight Savings Time, and the sunsets are now an hour earlier. Enjoy your fading hours of daylight while you still can, and stay safe out there when it turns dark. Two weeks from now, the sunset time will be before 4:30. 😭

Before we deal with more rainy weather, we will have to accustom ourselves to a chill in the air the next few mornings. Lack of cloud cover will likely result in our first sub-forty degrees morning for most of the region since the Spring. As high pressure breaks down towards the end of the work week, the storm door will open, allowing our next series of storms to enter the region.

Don’t be a silly goose! Remember to fill out your ballots and return them today or tomorrow. πŸͺΏπŸ—³οΈ
