You made it through the last of 5 large storm systems that have worked their way through the Pacific Northwest over the last 7 days. With another 0.66 inches of rain in Seattle as of midnight, we are now up to 3.62″ of rain so far this month, which is well above our average for the first 5 days of the month of 0.92″ of rain. We’re starting off this morning with some mostly cloudy skies, but our ATG webcam is showing some blue skies off to the west.
While we can’t rule out an isolated shower or two, most of us should remain rain free during the day today as our clearing trend continues.
Those final clouds associated with last night’s system will continue to push out to the east and will be replaced by those clearing skies that are currently approaching the coast. We may end up with a beautiful winter sunset in Seattle tonight, so keep an eye on the skies around sunset which is at 4:33pm today.
Tomorrow looks to be a completely dry day in Seattle, so get outside and enjoy it! We will still be dealing with some clouds during the day on Thursday ahead of our next storm system, but it should be a beautiful break from all of that rain. Another front moves into the area early Friday morning, but it doesn’t look to be as strong as our previous frontal systems, so expect some rainfall and breezy winds in the morning. Steady rain will taper off to showers Friday afternoon, and so far Saturday is also looking dry!
