Hey Huskies!
I hate to sound like a broken record, but it’s another cool day across Western Washington. We were in the 30s this morning and highs will only reach the low to mid-50s, about five degrees below average for this time of year. Some folks down near the Oregon border even woke up to some wet snow this morning!
Woke up to to 1” of snow here in Battle Ground on April 12th!… just one year after last years record late snowfall we set the record again #wawx #orwx pic.twitter.com/DlsNMtssDg

The good news is that there are some breaks in the puffy cumulus clouds today, but some gusty winds are making it feel a bit chilly. At the noon hour, wind gusts were from the north at 10-20 mph.
It’s a great day to view the cherry blossoms in the quad, though!
Tonight will again be chilly with lows dropping into the 30s under partly cloudy skies. Isolated showers are possible, signaling a bit of a change for Thursday. Scattered showers will become more numerous during the afternoon hours Thursday. The increase in cloud cover will keep temperatures closer 50 degrees.
Here’s what the future radar could look like tomorrow afternoon.
Friday will be the nicest day of the week, with highs in the mid-50s under mostly sunny skies.
Similar to last weekend, this weather weekend is again looking to spoil outdoor plans. Although we won’t see nearly as much rain as last weekend’s atmospheric river, precipitation will be more of the rule than the exception. The best chance for outdoor activity will be Saturday morning before rain showers become more widespread by the afternoon and evening. Temperatures won’t be too cold though, remaining about 50 degrees.
Taking a quick look at the extended forecast, there is chance for more widespread thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, but it’s too early to talk about the timing of these storms.
For now, enjoy the breaks in the clouds when you can!
Have a great day.
