Sunny Skies & Cool Clouds

Happy Wednesday Huskies!

This morning, we were treated to the remnants of a weak weather-maker that passed through yesterday evening, but today will bring a change. High clouds will continue to burn off as we move through the day today, giving way to sunny skies and a pleasant Wednesday afternoon and evening across western Washington.

Don’t mistake sunny conditions for warmth, however, as we’re going to be running around five degrees below average all of today. Thankfully, we’re far removed from the heatwave on this day in 2022 – we’ll be running 20 degrees cooler, in fact. If you’re not used to the fall weather, you’ll have plenty of time to do so this weekend – highs will remain in the low to mid-60s through at least the start of next week.

Before we turn to a nice weekend ahead, there will be some rain to contend with on Friday. As an area of low pressure moves into Vancouver Island on Friday morning, an accompanying cold front will pass through the region just in time for the morning rush. Rainy and windy conditions will be short-lived, but it’s wise to bring a jacket for your day Friday, as showers will persist through the noon hour.

Be sure to get outside today and this weekend Huskies, as we know sunny skies won’t last for long around here in the fall…
