Big Ideas Gained Thus Far

I am still struggling with the notion of assignments/challenges. Is it just semantics or might it be more substantial than that? Might some students (based on prior experiences) be turned off from the idea of challenges?

Loved the idea of web hosting from Mark. Need to learn more!

    There’s some research out there about “gamifying” courses that include changing assignments into quests or challenges. A lot of the better implementations seems to be about more than just nomenclature but actually changing the nature of the assignments and how they’re structured within the system in a way that is more game like. Accruing points, unlocking abilities, decision points for students to guide their own path, etc.
