UW GME Graduate Quality & Safety Certificate
To recognize the skills that members acquire, the initiative that they display, and the leadership that they assume through participation in our committee, the HQSC in collaboration with Graduate Medical Education have created the UW GME Graduate Quality & Safety Certificate.
The certificate acknowledges the hard work that recipients contribute to improving the environment of care at our teaching hospitals and serves as humble yet visible praise for their strong commitment to our patients and organizational values. In addition to the certificate, a letter of commendation is sent to the residency programdirector affiliated with each awardee in appreciation of his or her service.
To be awarded the certificate, members must:
- Serve at least one full year on HQSC
- Attend more than 70 percent of monthly meetings
- Participate in a hands-on quality improvement project
- Complete the IHI Open School Basic Curriculum (16 online modules)
