What are your identities?
I identify as both Black and Indigenous. Specifically Cherokee. I am a wife, a puppy parent (Frida). I love exercise, mostly swimming. I read everything that I can get my hands on.
Who are your people?
My husband Marc, my sisters Eartha, Rochelle, and Felecia. My friends Celeste, Markus, Terry, Jill, and Michelle. My niblings (CJ, Oliver, Miles, Xander, General, Moses, Josie, and Hugo). My family.
What are you most proud of?
Oh that’s a tough one, I don’t like to talk about myself. Maybe whenever I manage to create something, it makes me proud when it feeds someone, brings them joy, or gives them something of use.
Why UW Pediatrics/Seattle Children’s?
I really liked DCOMM and the community it built when I interviewed here.
What’s next?
Sleep, COVID vaccine, end of structural racism, happiness.
