James is joined by Professor Chris Parker. Chris is Professor of Political Science at the University of Washington and Director for Social Science of Race and Inequality at the Washington Institute for the Study of Inequality and Race.

Chris researches and teaches on a variety of topics in American Politics, including the study of voting behavior and public opinion, Black politics, social movements and civil rights, populism, and research methodology. He has written numerous journal articles, book chapters, and two books, Fighting for Democracy: Black Veterans and the Struggle Against White Supremacy in the Postwar South and Change They Can’t Believe In: The Tea Party and Reactionary Politics in America, co-authored with Matt Barreto.

James and Chris not only discuss what to expect next week, how this election will affect American life after 2020, and what in US history brought us to this point.
