Clair Yang

 

Clair Yang is an Assistant Professor at the Jackson School of International Studies at UW. She is an affiliated fellow with the Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology (CSDE) at UW and the 21st Century China Center at the School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) at UC San Diego.
Her research focuses broadly on the political economy of development and business and
politics, with a regional focus on China. Her current and ongoing research seeks to understand the long-run economic impact of political institutions. Her research has appeared in Journal of Marketing Research, Financial Management, Economics Letters, among other places. Before joining UW, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Sloan School of Management at MIT. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
