Daniel Yoo
Daniel currently works as a survey scientist and researcher at Airbnb. His academic interests are in the political economy of development, especially in the politics of finance and local governance. Methodologically, his interests are in causal inference, survey methods, and machine learning. His current work at Airbnb focuses on better understanding the social and economic consequences of home-sharing around the world. In the past, he has worked for the World Bank and UNDP as a consultant and researcher. His research has been published in World Politics and International Interactions. He has a BCom from the University of Toronto, an MA from the University of Chicago, and a PhD from the University of Washington in Political Science.
