Nela Mrchkovska

 

Nela is a doctoral student in the Department of Political Science. Her research interests
include the political economy of post-communist and post-socialist states in Eastern
Europe with special interest in the role of social institutions and culture in these states’
adaptation to the market economy. Currently, her research focuses on the use of
religious structures in the nation-building of Eastern Europe. She is interested in utilizing
survey experiments, text-as-data, and methods of causal identification in conducting
research.
