Hello Alumni,
We graduate students seek increased alumni engagement and connection to the department. Research talks, seminars, workshops, and career development advice from alumni to graduate students would all be welcomed. To facilitate alumni interactions, we worked closely with Dr. Trisha Davis, Erin Kirschner, Tonya Hirtzel, and Jenny Bocanegra to set up an alumni network system that connects the department and current graduate students with alumni. This system will allow interested alumni to give back to the department through interactions with current students. This is an important , as many of us graduate students could benefit from the guidance of alumni on how the wonderful skills we gain during our time here translate to the workforce and what our career options are. We encourage any alumni or soon-to-be alumni to fill out our survey regarding your interest in participating in the alumni database. Your desired level of engagement can be indicated on the survey and can be limited or extensive depending on your preference. By connecting and supporting each other during graduate school and beyond we can truly bring to fruition a community in the Biochemistry Department.
