I am from South Korea and moved to United States in 2017 Fall to join UW Bioengineering. For my PhD study, I am interested in developing blood compatible biomaterials and its assessment methodology for intrinsic coagulation pathway, studying surface chemistry and blood-surface interaction, surface analysis, and protein adsorption. I worked as a senior researcher at the Nanobio Application Team of Korean National Nanofabrication Center From 2015 to 2017, where I conducted research projects for the development of microfluidic point-of-care diagnostic devices and functional nanomaterials. Besides science, I love everything about music, photography, skiing, and swing dancing.
