The CALM Clinic has a dual mission to promote the well-being of clients with anxiety, traumatic stress, and obsessive-compulsive related disorders, and to provide training to graduate students in clinical psychology in delivering evidence-based care. Toward these goals, the clinic is designed to integrate the latest understanding of ways in which anxiety, traumatic stress, and obsessive-compulsive related disorders impact the brain and behavior, as well as how culture shapes an individual’s understanding of symptoms, preferences, and motivations for treatment. Clients can expect to receive culturally-informed, evidence-based care starting with a comprehensive evaluation by an advanced graduate student in the CALM Clinic practicum, as well as a separate feedback session to provide personalized treatment recommendations. Individual outpatient therapy will also be provided by our graduate students when clinically indicated. All graduate students are supervised by Co-Directors Zoellner, Dorsey, and Fang, who are licensed psychologists.
