Treatment

What kind of treatment?

The CALM Clinic specializes in a variety of evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy as well as acceptance and mindfulness based interventions focused on treating anxiety, traumatic stress, and obsessive-compulsive related disorders.

Who provides treatment?

Clients in the CALM Clinic are treated by an advanced graduate student clinician in the UW clinical psychology PhD program. All students are supervised by one of the 3 Co-Directors of the CALM Clinic (Drs. Zoellner, Dorsey, or Fang) and attend weekly supervision with their supervisor.

What is the cost of treatment?

Since the CALM Clinic is a training clinic, treatment is provided by unlicensed graduate student clinicians and costs for therapy are therefore not covered by insurance. Fees for therapy are considered out-of-pocket expenses determined by the Clinic’s two-tiered fee scale based on client’s gross annual income.
