June 2013 – Dr. Prat led a morning workshop, entitled “Current directions in neuroimaging of language and language-related disorders,” at the annual meeting for the Organization for Human Brain Mapping in Seattle, Washington.

September 2012 – Dr. Stocco delivered a talk, entitled “Bilingualism trains specific brain circuits involved in the rapid reconfiguration of behavior: Evidence from rapid instructed task learning,” at the Architectures and Mechanisms for Language Processing Conference in Riva del Garda, Italy.

July 2012 – Dr. Prat delivered her Tom Trabasso Award Recipient Address, entitled “Individual differences in right hemisphere contributions to discourse,” at the annual meeting for the Society for Text and Discourse in Montreal, Canada.

July 2012 – Drs. Stocco and Prat presented a poster, entitled “Impaired information routing in the basal ganglia in individuals with autism,” at the Forum of European Neurosciences Forum of Neuroscience in Barcelona, Spain.

Onwards and Upwards: The coming and going of CCDL members

May 2015 – Darby and Marissa were awarded a summer fellowship through the UW Institute for Neuroengineering!

April 2015 – Jose‘s Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation was funded! This work will investigate the behavioral and experiential factors that influence impulsive behaviors and inhibitory control!

February 2015 – Dr. Prat was awarded tenure!

November 2014 – Dr. Stocco’s grant entitled “Advancing Human Brain to Brain Communication Capabilities” is being funded by the W.M. Keck Foundation!

August 2014 – Sandrine is off to Carnegie Mellon to start as a graduate student!

April 2014 – Dr. Prat’s grant entitled “Training the Mind and Brain: Investigating Individual Differences in the Ability to Learn and Benefit Cognitively from Language Training” is being funded through the Office of Naval Research!

September 2013 – Jose started as a new graduate student at the CCDL, he is coming from the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics.

June 2013 – Roy is welcomed as a new graduate student at the CCDL, she is coming from Indiana University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Linguistics.

April 30, 2013 – CCDL tested their 1000th participant!

November 2012 – Lauren joined the CCDL team as a post-doctoral fellow, she is coming from the University of Washington, where she graduated with a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience.

September 2012 – Brianna started as the CCDL’s first graduate student, she is coming from the University of Washington, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

September 2012 – Theresa started as the first CCDL  post-doctoral fellow, she is coming from the University of Missouri, where she graduated with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.

October 2011 – Justin started as the CCDL’s first lab manger, he is coming from the Center for Cognitive Brain Imaging at Carnegie Mellon, where he worked as the lab manager under Dr. Marcel Just.

February 7th, 2011 – CCDL tested their 1st participant!
