Job Summary:
Cornerstone General Contractors, Inc. is a local commercial construction contractor specializing in K-12 construction. Cornerstone is seeking a qualified candidate to fulfill an internship role for an upcoming school project in the Greater Seattle Area. Responsibilities include assisting the Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent with document control and other project related tasks. The candidate will gain valuable “hands-on” experience in the field necessary to become a successful manager in the construction industry.

Responsibilities: Quantity Take-off, Vendor Pricing, Document Control, Quality Assurance, Material Procurement, Scheduling, Change Management, Closeout, Punch List, LEED/WSSP Documentation.

Skills: The candidate shall have advanced computer skills and exposure to technical construction environment. The candidate must be able to read and interpret construction documents, review shop drawings and submittals, as well as identify and respond to issues in the field.

Degree: Candidate shall possess or be in the process of obtaining a B.S. Degree in Construction Management or “equivalent” education and work experience in architecture, engineering or construction.

Professional Experience: The candidate shall have 0-3 years professional experience in the construction industry
