Watershed Science & Engineering (WSE) is looking to bring on a water resources engineering intern for summer 2015. Our preference would be to find someone who is just finishing their BSCE and is intending to seek a Master’s degree in hydrology, hydraulics or a related field, or perhaps someone who is in the middle of their Master’s program with a focus on these subjects. We might expand our search to include student’s who have completed their junior year in CEE, provided they have a demonstrated interest in the types of work we do and have successfully completed most of their water related courses.

WSE is a specialty firm working solely in surface water hydrology, hydraulics, and river engineering. As such we are seeking an intern who excels in those fields and is considering a career focused on solving water resource problems. As an intern at WSE an individual would get a mix of office and field work likely including numerical hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, surveying, GIS mapping, field data collection, conceptual design, and report writing. We strive to make our internships mutually beneficial, providing us with another staff resource while providing our interns with an in depth introduction to the water resources consulting field.

Our hope is to have an intern on board as early as June. We expect the internship would last three or four months although that is open to some negotiation. The key for us is finding a candidate who is well qualified and can be expected to excel in the types of high end work our firm does (as can be seen on our website www.watershedse.com).
