CIVIL ENGINEER I (EIT)
Salary: Beginning salary range: $52,329 – $54,242 Full benefits package Reports to: City Engineer

The City: Port Townsend is a Victorian seaport and arts community of about 9,000 on the Olympic Peninsula of Northwest Washington. The City is home to historic theatres, art galleries, and numerous festivals including jazz, chamber music, blues, and fiddle tunes. The Wooden Boat Festival and Port Townsend Film Festival draw large crowds every year. The City also features a spectacular natural setting, a wide variety of recreational opportunities and a National Historic Landmark District. Port Townsend is about two hours from Seattle.
The Position: Working under the supervision of licensed engineers, design and supervise public works infrastructure projects from planning through design and construction. Perform professional civil engineering work of average difficulty and responsibility in the area of streets, sidewalks, water systems, sewer systems, stormwater systems, traffic engineering and related work as required under technical supervision.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university and EIT designation. One year of practical professional experience preferred.
