Reminder about the upcoming events with the SWE:
Time to Invent is an outreach program run by graduate students and focused on kindling a love of science and engineering in young girls . Once a month, our mentors visit a local elementary school and lead 4th and 5th grade girls through hands-on activities to encourage an interest in innovation and science/engineering. While activities are typically led by the graduate mentors, both undergraduate and graduate mentors are
encouraged to participate in the activities! Check out our website here: http://timetoinventuw.wix.com/timetoinventuw
If you’re interested in Time to Invent, come to our info session on Wednesday, October 7th, at 4:30pm in CSE 403. Snacks will be provided. RSVP!
Following this will be the first SWE meeting in EEB 105 at 6pm, (doors open at 5:30pm; EEB and CSE buildings are connected), where you can learn
what SWE can do for you, how you can become involved, and much more.
Time to Invent will also be presenting at this meeting, so if you plan on attending the SWE meeting and are also interested in learning about Time to Invent, you can hear all the information you need at the SWE meeting alone.
Please RSVP! to the Time to Invent meeting at the link below so that we can get a headcount for snacks and have an email address to send you a
reminder before the meeting! (Don’t worry; we won’t store these email addresses. We’ll have a signup sheet at the meeting if you decide to join Time to Invent after hearing what we have to say). If you are interested in Time to Invent but cannot make the meeting, the RSVP form has a place where you can let us know this and leave us with your email address to we can get in touch with you!
