About the Agency: The Multnomah County Drainage District (MCDD) is a flood protection agency in the North/North East Portland Metropolitan Area protecting residential communities, industrial sanctuaries and vital public infrastructure such as the Portland International Airport and the Portland water wells.  In addition to managing the levee system along the Columbia River and the internal drainage system within the floodplain, MCDD has evolved substantially over the past decade to become a solutions-oriented leader with our environmental partners in the region.  New federal regulations associated with FEMA accreditation and environmental protections have influenced new approaches and new partnerships for MCDD, making this position and the agency extremely dynamic.  A small, agile team environment and a passion for customer service and supporting community values help define the culture of the organization.
