Project Engineer
- Reviewing contracts, drawings, specifications, and other resources to answer questions.
- Coordinating with Field Supervision equipment procurement with purchasing department and outside vendors to order and expedite material.
- Assisting in development of Scope of Work for subcontractors.
- Coordinating job set-up, site mobilization, project administration and closeout.
- Overseeing the scheduling and coordination of trades.
- Coordinating the scope of work with the project drawings and specifications.
- Assisting in preparation of Job Start and Project Closeout project binders and meeting materials.
- Assisting in preparation of monthly financial reporting.
- Communicating with Architect, Engineer and Owner, to assist the Project Manager with daily duties or act as Project Manager.
- As necessary coordinating field activities of self-performed and subcontracted work.
Field Engineer:
- Assisting in implementing and monitoring the quality control, safety and environment programs
- Quantity surveying, quantity review and system input
- Coordinating field details, site inspections and liaising with field subcontractors
- Assisting site inspectors with the reporting function
- Filing system set-up and maintenance, establishing/maintaining/monitoring document control
- Producing and logging project photographic record
- Assisting in preparation of labor reports and cost reports
- Expediting materials
- Coordinating and assisting with information distribution to subcontractors and own forces
- Maintaining as-built drawings
- Preparing field engineering manuals
- Planning work around specifications, submittals, RFI’s and conformed drawings
- Support superintendent buy verifying take-off quantities, calculating daily yields and reviewing productivity
- Support project engineer with RFI data, problem solving, and quality conformance
- Review time cards, material delivery tags, certifications, bill of ladings, etc.
Office Engineer:
- Build preliminary schedules during estimating, working up to developing complete project schedules and updating them monthly on larger project
- Running cost reports and reviewing productivity
- Force account preparation and monthly billings
- Support submittal preparation
- Support estimating, quantity take-off
- Building preliminary submittal logs and identifying submittals from the project specifications
- Manage and update document control systems
- Prepare spreadsheets for tracking quantities and check weekly quantities to ensure accuracy
