Master of Applied Bioengineering Project Presentations on November 22nd

Join us this Friday, November 22nd at 4:30pm in PAA 110 to hear the Master of Applied Bioengineering students present their proposed annual projects. These projects are based on the MAB students’ observations and discoveries of unmet clinical opportunities during their fall Clinical Preceptorships. We invite all interested students, staff and faculty to attend to help provide valuable feedback and ask insightful questions which will help the MAB students in their path forward. 4:30: HCC Detection
Using contrast enhanced ultrasound to detect HCC progression early in the stages

4:45: Brain Mapping
Exploring augmented reality to better guide needle placement during brain surgeries

5:00: Corneal Topography
Improving access to corneal topography for patients with the WWAMI region

5:15: Reheal Pump
Developing a wearable pump system to work with an existing glove technology that provides Negative Pressure Wound Therapy to traumatic hand injuries.

5:30: Reheal Infection
In conjunction with the ReHeal pump team, developing a sensor to detect presence of infection in the glove.

6:00: MRI Motion
Reducing the rate of repeat scans due to motion artefact by improving patient comfort
