Veterans, consider applying for the Summer REU program that is part of the new Molecular Materials Engineering Center. MEM-C aims to accelerate the development of future energy conversion, information processing, and sensing technologies through design, discovery, processing, and application of complex electronic and photonic materials. The summer REU program is focused on exposing veterans and under-represented minorities to a viable and relevant career pathway focused on materials and energy research.
This program is not open to non-veteran UW students.
The program is nice weeks (June 22 – August 21, 2020) that provides a $5,000 stipend, on-campus housing, $600 for food, and a $500 travel allowance

Application requirements:
- Personal statement (250 words): How does this fit into your career plans? Why do you believe that you are prepared to be successful? What research focus interests you the most?
- CV: Must include a listing of all education, training and work experience and your unofficial transcript. Please combine into one PDF file named “Lastname_CV.pdf”.
- Professional Recommendations (2 people): Please provide email addresses for two people who can provide a professional recommendation. We will contact them to request a letter and provide details.
