The Associated General Contractors of America’s (AGC) Education Foundation typically awards a scholarship to a student from UW CEE once a year. This scholarship is intended for a student that has been focusing their studies in the heavy civil area. If you plan on working in the heavy civil industry, this scholarship is tailored for you!
There is no application to fill out. The AGC asks students that are interested to submit an essay including the following contents:
- Name and contact info
- Academic pathway
- Why are you pursuing a degree in civil engineering?
- Why are you interested in heavy civil construction?
- Describe any relevant work experience
The AGC will go through the essays and choose several applicants to interview to finalize the scholarship process.
