First EWB-UWS Meeting!

Hello CEE students!

Are you still looking to get involved with a club this year?  The Engineers Without Borders UW Student Chapter (EWB-UWS) is having its first meeting next Wednesday, January 12th at 5:30pm in MEB 248 – Zoom option available!

EWB-UWS is a student-led club that promotes the sustainable development of international communities through an exchange of engineering knowledge.  We partner with communities who request aid and foster communication surrounding the needs they identify, resulting in a collaborative effort to design and build projects.  These projects typically relate to strengthening sanitation facilities, water systems and storage – among other things.

We also have several local projects in the surrounding Seattle area, including a collaboration with the Duwamish tribe, a digital rainwater display being implemented in the new UW Population Health building, and solar powered phone charging stations.  Please see our website for more information.

If interested in joining via online or in-person, please reach out to ewbuws.president@gmail.com.
