Diversity in Structural Engineering Scholarship Program Application 
The deadline is March 20, 2023.

The NCSEA Diversity in Structural Engineering Scholarship Program, established by the NCSEA Foundation, awards funding to students who have been traditionally underrepresented in structural engineering (including but not limited to Black/African Americans, Native/Indigenous Americans, Hispanics/Latinos or Spanish, Asian, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and other people of color, those with disabilities, veterans and LGBTQIA+). Multiple scholarships are presented annually to junior college students, undergraduate students, and/or graduate students pursuing degrees in structural engineering.

As our scholarship program continues to grow, we must thank those who have generously provided funds to create even more opportunities for aspiring structural engineers in the form of endowed and named scholarships.

Who is Eligible?

Any currently enrolled junior college student, undergraduate, or graduate-level student who:

  • will be registered in the fall term of 2023,
  • has a focused career interest in structural engineering (to be defined in the personal statement) and/or is actively pursuing a structural engineering degree,
  • will employ the scholarship to continue their formal education at a recognized educational institution,
  • Previous holders of these scholarships are eligible to apply in any succeeding competition for these awards, provided the other requirements of eligibility are satisfied,
  • NCSEA membership and/or involvement is not required to apply
