City of Seattle Youth Transportation Summit

Hello Students,

The City of Seattle is hosting a Youth Transportation Summit targeting those 24 and younger.

The City of Seattle is hosting a Youth Transportation Summit on Saturday, December 9th, where our goal is to learn how the pandemic has changed the transportation experiences of young people and center their voices in upcoming climate-responsive transportation investments. The summit is happening in response to Mayor Harrell’s Climate Justice Executive Order issued last Winter. The summit will build on the momentum of recent wins such as statewide implementation of free youth transit and ask youth the pivotal question: “What’s next?”

This full-day event will include community experts providing presentations on climate optimism and transportation justice, as well as afternoon discussions and breakout rooms for participants to co-create a Youth Climate & Transportation Action Plan that will be delivered to Mayor Harrell.

This event would be an amazing opportunity for students to provide feedback and actionable steps that Seattle can make to improve transportation! There will also be free food, t-shirts, and swag provided!

To register to attend the event, please sign up here: Youth Transportation Summit Registration Form Survey (surveymonkey.com). The last day to register is November 29.
