Applications are competitive and the final date to apply to cutter head and materials removal is 5/18/2024.
Washington Hyperloop is a student-run organization. Our goal is to design and build a tunnel boring machine to compete at Elon Musk’s Not-a-Boring Competition [boringcompany.com].
In order to complete the design, our team is broken up into sub-teams that will be responsible for the components of the TBM.
Our cutter head/materials removal team is currently recruiting. In this role, you can expect to:
Design and manufacture parts for a tunnel-boring machine Cooperate with other engineers in the design process Test parts and revise designs
We are also currently seeking a CAD Director for the 2024-2025 year. In this role, you can expect to to integrate all CAD components from every subteams. Effective communication is required.
