Hello CEE Undergrads,

I hope you all had a safe and restful holiday weekend.

My name is Marina Bydalek (she/her), and I wanted to introduce myself as the new Undergraduate Academic Adviser for the CEE department! Some of you may have known my predecessor, Lauren Lanum, who previously held this role.

Originally from northern California, I moved to Seattle three years ago to attend graduate school here at the UW. After I graduated, I worked in advising administration at Seattle University, but I just couldn’t stay away from this beautiful campus, so here I am again ✨ When I’m not working, you can find me doing embroidery or crochet, cuddling with my dog Laika, or accidentally killing yet another houseplant.

I will be advising for both the BSCE and BSENVE programs, but until I finish training, you may see me shadowing appointments with Brian. You can continue to send your questions to ceadvice@uw.edu and Brian or I will get back to you.
