The Washington State Department of Ecology (Washington State’s version of the EPA) has an entry-level environmental engineering position for which we are currently accepting applications. This is the third of three positions recently posted (we are waiting to compile the list of candidates for this last position before moving forward with the other earlier posted position).
The position is within the Industrial Section which is responsible for the environmental regulation of some of the largest industries in the State, specifically focusing on oil refineries, pulp and paper mills, and aluminum smelters. Responsibilities include performing environmental compliance inspections, permit writing, issuing enforcement actions for non-compliance, and reviewing environmental data/design submittals. The position is located at the Department of Ecology Headquarters in Lacey, Washington. Our initial review of applicants will occur on Monday November 6, 2023.
