Additionally, we wanted to share a new program with you called WC2. The Hydropower Foundation aims to help universities identify students and a faculty member to start their own Waterpower Club. We will support students and faculty in forming a structure, schedule of activities, and programming and will maintain communication with the faculty member and the student chair.

These clubs will help bridge the gap between students and the waterpower industry/community. Our goal is to provide:

  • Presentations from waterpower community professionals (2-3 per semester)
  • Career training and mentoring
  • Access to HF student events and programs
  • Internship and Cooperative education notifications
  • Scholarship Opportunities (2 per academic year, per school)
  • Funding for Club-related food and activities (Hopefully this helps in case you don’t get funding from your university).
