Attention Students in Structural Engineering
Structural Engineering Principles for Starting Work…
Announcing “SE Apprentice”
Web Seminar Series
NO CHARGE with Advance Registration: Space is Limited
Are you a Student in Civil/Structural Engineering who would like to learn additional technical information to help you start your career as a structural engineer?
Carrie Bremer, PE of Schaefer and Stephen Metz, PE of SMBH are excited to be involved in SE Apprentice, aimed at bringing examples of real-world engineering problems to students.
In a carefully crafted series of presentations, Carrie and Stephen will guide students through the design of an actual project – the South Central Chiller Plant Generator Building at The Ohio State University. This series aims to present ideas and concepts not typically learned in class, and combine these with real world knowledge of how a building and project come together, to help give students an idea of what to expect on a project they would work on in the office.
Currently on the schedule for SE Apprentice are the following four live web seminars:
Thursday, October 15th: 6:00 – 7:00 pm EDT
Wednesday, October 28th: 6:00 – 7:00 pm EDT

These sessions will be most applicable to Seniors and Graduate Students, and may also be helpful for younger students.
