Study Abroad Course in Jordan, Upcoming Info Session

Come hear about the 5-credit study abroad course Engineering Jordan this Friday, January 29th at 2:30 in More Hall room 320.
Engineering is a global enterprise and water is a critical international issue. Students with international experience increase their marketability in the job force.

Engineering Jordan is a short-term (3.5 weeks) UW faculty-led study abroad course that is offered through the UW Civil & Environmental Engineering Department. The focus of the course is Water Engineering in an Arid land, and the course takes place in partnership with the Jordan University of Science and Technology. Dr. Heidi Gough has taught this course three times, and has extensive connections in Jordan. There are course options for graduate students, upperclassmen, pre-engineering, and (new this year) non-science majors. Past students returning who have taken the course rave about the learning and cultural exchange experience.

If you are interested in the course and can’t attend the information session, contact Dr. Gough (hgough@uw.edu) or visit the course canvas page
