City of Kenmore Internships

We have two internship openings, and students can apply an online through GovJobsToday:

https://www.govjobstoday.com/JobAnnouncement.aspx?jid=9558

Just about everything is in the online listing, but I can add a few other things if it would be helpful to share with your students:

The duties for the position are about one internship worth of traffic / transportation related duties, and one internship worth of general civil / municipal civil duties. We can keep those separate, or divide them up according the interests and abilities of the candidates we select. The internships start right away, and location is Kenmore City Hall. Applicants should be able to incorporate 8-20 hours of work into their schedule for this semester, and be able to make the commute to Kenmore City Hall. (We have free parking, and we’re also very transit accessible!)

I would recommend that resumes and cover letters focus on how the applicant’s experience, coursework, and personal interests relate to the position. Because this is an internship, we do not have an expectation that applicants will be supremely accomplished engineers, but demonstrating an interest in civil engineering and a willingness to acquire new skills is highly valued.

Thank you for helping us find great candidates! If you have any questions, please let me know! Students who are interested in the position are also free to reach out to me directly; I’m happy to answer questions about the duties of the position, what information we’re interested in from an applicant, or anything else they’d like to know.

Thank you,

Tobin Bennett-Gold
