Title: Hourly Drivers for Research Project
The Urban Freight Lab at the University of Washington (UW) is hiring UW students to participate in a test of an innovative parking app in downtown Seattle by simulating urban commercial deliveries. The student must be comfortable with driving larger vehicles (20-foot vans) provided by the UW and performing parallel parking in downtown Seattle during congested conditions. Previous experience as a delivery driver is a plus. A UW Research Assistant will ride along during the test and collect GPS data. The employment will be for at least three half days (5 hours a day) for a minimum of 15 hours in total and will require passing the UW’s Driver Safety & Awareness Training. The pay is $20 per hour. Start/end dates 6/15/21-7/30/21. COVID precautions (masks) will be required.
